automap : inbuilt "click" or "dead zone" in knobs?

Hej
Can anyone confirm that there is an inbuildt "click" or "dead zone" in Live when one automap'er a controller knob?
- in other words, when one turns knob far left to far right, there is a "pause" at center position.
And if so, can one disable this function ...?
Note: the control is a Edirol PCR-X00 series and the controllers function to create a "click" but this is disabled in the control maps I use.
