Macbook not finding midi controllers?

Hello!

I just switched from a PC to a Macbook (It's quite exciting). With my PC, I plugged in my controller, a Triggerfinger, and Live automatically found it, and I could start using it right away. With the Macbook, though, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to hook up my controllers.

I now have a Remote25 and the Triggerfinger, neither of which is Live finding. I've been through the manual, and the help options, which brought me to the Audio Midi Setup, a window I've never seen before. "New external Device," "network," "IAC Driver," it all seems very complicated for a Mac.

I downloaded the Driver for the Remote three times, without any results.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Weird, it should just work. (Literally)

Are you just plugging these in directly or through a hub?

Do they get power?

If you go to the Audio Midi setup, do they show up?

One trick is that if you hold down the option key while plugging in a usb device, OS X pays more attention/resets the port.

I have like 8 or 9 usb devices and it's been like a dream since I switched back from windoz.

"New device found. Found new device. New device could not be used. New device found again. Would you like to search the interwebs for drivers? No, have disk? Slect driver & reinstall. Click finish. Your device is now ready, please restart. New device is now ready to use."

For EACH device on my hub.

The best is when it happened to my internal track pad.

I lurned to cuss better those days....

what OS are you using? Many companies have not provided drivers for Leopard yet.

Thanks so much for the quick replies!

I'm plugging them directly in, and yes, the controllers do get power but no, they don't show up in audio midi setup.

MMMMM I am using Leopard! That could be it, Any way around that one?
