when i midi assign one of the on/off buttons on my bcr2000 to an on/off function in ableton- it will turn the device off but won't turn it back on. eg: assigning a bcr2000 on/off button to the gate on/off button in LIVE. any help?

You may have set the button up to send out midi notes?

Try sending midi cc#s instead.
