Library Presets Gone???

I accidently right clicked on a midi effect and clicked "Set as default preset." Right after I done that, I noticed that all my presets in the Live Device Browser were gone. So now I cant do anything because I cant drag instruments, effects, etc.(presets) from the Live Device Browser to a clip. Can someone help me out? How can I get the presets back on there?

I checked the default folder already(for windows--documents/username/my documents/ableton/library......its all there. In Live's preferences, the library folder says the same. So...the library path wasnt changed.

I can, however, search for presets in the Live Device Browser. Example: If I type in Drums.....A list comes up but it doesnt say what they are. The file names are either Adg or Adv. The only way I can find out what they are is by dropping them into a clip slot.

Any suggestions?

Addition

I also just noticed that on my computer(my documents/ableton/library), in the defaults folder....its empty. Maybe that has something to do with it? Maybe I have to put all the presets back in the default folder?.........

Hello Akbar,

try to de- and reinstall the "Basics" Live pack in your Live preferences/Live packs tab.

I had this same problem under Vista. Using the "File Management - Manage Library" didn't seem to help. I'm too skeptical/lazy to reinstall live packs that I didn't move or delete.

I solved it very easily:

Preferences->Live Packs->Search for Live Packs.

nothing happened besides the presets re-appearing in the browser.

I searched for live packs. Live 7 Basics showed up....and it has a un-install button. I already have that installed.

I think im just going to un-install the whole program and re-install it.
