I know a lot of people have this problem when they upgrade laptops. As most ,if not all, now have the smaller 34mm express card slot.

I've just tried this adapter out and can confirm it works fine (under vista) No need for adapter drivers just plug it in and the indigo card is detected as normal. It is a bit ungainly and I would'nt recommend playing out with it as it can be knocked out of the express card slot fairly easily. Still great for home/studio use as the sound quality is way better than the onboard soundcard. Check it here:

well i brushed it accidently with my arm last night and it was enough to pull it out of the express card slot. Not by much but it was enough to loose the indigo card connection which then caused Ableton to crash! I Just put it back in and rebooted ableton ,no problem, but in a live situation it would be a bit of a disaster. I suppose you could use masking tape to keep it in place and make it more secure.

Yeah, sounds like it might be a bit risky live.
