Is that a little sarcasm I'm sensing in you tone?

It says he uses Ableton Live as well.

I am so sure he is relying on both.

Um, Thomas Dolby is 4 sure, using logic during his live shows as well.

if I had van dyke cash lying around, I would have a big fat bag of software and 2 mac book pros as well.

Apple does not pay people for succes stories with cash or "in kind" payments (with gear).

The promo that this provides and artist is enormous so people are more that happy to get profiled.

Remember a success story style editorial is very different than an endoresment where an artist is used as part of an advertising campaign.

It's not often that you get offered being featured on the Logic Pro sections and then being part of the email from Apple too. I'm with you siddhu, I doubt there's payment involved.

I'm hearing that Apple don't sponsor at all...

+1 , ah naivety is so refreshing yet so flawed...

And PVD has now been made into a metrosexual Apple dude, with the 'uber design' glossy pic of blissful serenity :P

Was it worth it Paul ?? Most definately as he got his brown envelope stuffed with $$$ handed to him at the back door with a non disclosure contract and a couple of macbook pros in the mail for his trouble !

Whats the point of using logic together with live? Is it because of the logic synths, or are there other advantages of logic over live?

I tried Logic and find Live a lot easier to make music. Logic seems over cluttered. Why would someone need more than Live? Ultrabeat was cool and maybe Logic has some nice turbo charged delays and reverbs, but really does it sound any better than Live?

funny we both asked the same question right at the same time, when I hit the "submit" button I was quite surprised to see your name instead of mine as the latest contributor to the thread.

multitake recording-track folders. i don't want to do this with session view, or arrange, as it gets very cluttered. and i see no point in only accepting one take. that's like saying i only watch one tv channel. or i only listen to one song. different takes have different feels, what is wrong with piecing together a performance, esp. when said pieces are all performed wholly? do a take, press *, do it again, and again. easy! if it was punk though... one take.

the instruments in logic are nice, though. i like logic, and live. i have different tools at work for different tasks, same in the studio... can't do everything with a screwdriver :D

i like live cause i do not need to make Apple Loops to time stretch audio.
