Lenovo Thinkpad adapter

I'm looking at getting a Lenovo Thinkpad, and on the site im looking at it says that a thinkpad power adaptor is £40.. can i use any other power adaptor or is this the only solution?

uh yeah... mine came with a power adaptor :)

no you have to gett the lenovo one. And be carefull there are different modells and also quality levels. I had two one was a cheap one off ebay, wich had less weight but was not isolated. This resulted in humming noices on some occasions (ground loops).

If you are serious about music and want to perform gett the real thing.

It COMES with an adaptor. IF you want "two adaptors" you buy the extra one, but it's a horrible rip-off.

£40 is a lot cheaper than they were with IBM.

If you need a 2nd, I'd get a legit one from eBay. I'd avoid any cheap copies as they are normally total crap and not worth the money, no matter how cheap they are.

thats for an additional one.... got mine with a power adapt.

Thanks! On the site I was on it said what the laptop was then asked do you want: <list of accessories>, one of which was a power cable.
