LV1 and LX1 remote maps - scene scrolling not working

I have been pretty happy with the new faderfox remote scripts in the 7.0.2 beta.

I use an LV1 and LX1 and so far all the functionality works as expected EXCEPT scene scrolling.

Using the encoder I can get the highlighted scene to scroll up and down just like I can with tracks. However, this seems to serve no functional purpose. All of the scene controls are still locked to the first 16 scenes, just like track controls are locked to 16 tracks.

I would have thought that scrolling down the scenes would shift the focus of where the grid of buttons for clip controls works. In my live performance sets I have hundreds of scenes to get through. With this script as it is I can only use the faderfox for the first 16.

OR am I missing something?

actually I can launch scenes/clips for the first 8 scenes, not 16 (I thought if I switched group numbers it would work)

So only 8 is too few.

you are right...the slot launch buttons are fixed to the first 8 slots in each track.
but it's a cool idea to shift the grid...maybe a feature for the next controller generation.
thx for your thoughts.

So right now Scene scrolling serves no purpose?
However I think ableton has the special option to assign a midi controller to whatever the highlighted scenes/clips (not specific scenes/clips like normal) so I can use the bottom row of the lx1 to correspond to those launch controls and then the scrolling should work but for only one row at a time. e.g. You scroll to say scene 47 and then those 8 buttons will launch the clips on track 1-8 scene 47.
I would have thought that this would have been automapped.

Secondly,

Whenever I use the track scrolling option, it causes hiccups in playback. I get stutters and jitter when I do this. None of my other midi controllers do this (even my Notron that generates tons of midi). Any idea why?
Try scrolling through tracks quickly and you will see it happen...

thanks!
