Yet another post on the drum rack

I really don't know what I am doing wrong! I have tried every idea posted on the forums but I can't get the drum rack to follow my padKONTROL, I've tried reseting to factory defaults and using scene 1 and that is in now way even close to being a proper scene to control the interface, it's like the notes are all randomized. I can't even get the drum rack to follow my Axiom!

If anyone can be of service I would appreciate it!

thank you!

Do you have http://www.midiox.com/ ore something like that...? Just to figure out which notes are played by your padKONTROL... Or create a midiclip and set your slot armed for record. Go to clip view and trigger the pads, every played note is shown red in piano roll. Get sure that the played notes are the same you want to trigger... (C1 Bass drum, for example).

yeah I tried testing out the midi notes they are one octave down but thats is common for the pad control. My problem is the drum rack is not changing the cells accordingly to either the padkontrol or the AXIOM! Which makes no sense unless it's totally dodgy.

+1 with the Trigger Finger

C1 to D#2 only. No scrolling updates, no knobs or sliders work.

Not fun.

what are you guys MIDI prefs settings?

I think not only do you need it enabled as a surface, but also track (or remote? can't remember) in the interface section below..

Well, a factory reset took care of the Trigger Finger.

clc, you said you tried that though....

As longjohns suggested in the MIDI prefs make sure the PK is selected as a control surface. Then below in the Midi Ports make sure track and remote are set to on for the PK.

In the track with the rack in it, from the Midi From droplist select your PK.
Click on the device title bar so that the little blue hand appears on it.

Give it a try with scene 1, if that doesn't work maybe it's scene 10. If that doesn't work try all of the scenes. If that doesn't work try to resist throwing the thing out the window. I almost did (my TF) 2 hours ago.

One other thing to consider, take a look over at the betas in the bugs forum. Maybe there is a fix in the latest version? From reading the thread, it appears that Live 7.02 is very close to being done. For the short term, running the latest beta might give you your fix. That's what I had to do to keep Session Drums/Live from dropping connection to my TF while I was re-wired in ProTools. Latest beta worked.

Thanks Leonardrock and guys... I've tried all those things and I think I'm about to throw the crap around the room :P

Never tried the beta though... thing is alot of people are having problems with the PK and TF but I'm also having problems with my Axiom keyboard controller so... Anyway, patience, patience.
