I thought this stopped about 2 years ago but maybe it depends on where you are. Now it seems like formerly pure vinyl DJs also incorporate CDs and do it with a sense of guilt and a giggle as if to say "sorry for giving you shit previously. te he."

Can you call a ginger beard a "proper beard"???
Case 1: man on left, proper beard or big ginger fluff
Case 2: what the fuck?!?
Case 3: no words necessary
no offense meant to any ableton users with big ginger beards

Trance aspect: I saw at the big screen when the camera filmed behind tiesto's dj booth at elements of life @ copenhagen that he both had cd and vinyl players (probably 6 cd players or so and a few vinyl.)

I have full respect for vinyl dj's.. They seem to know how to mix. I mean I think it is a skill and should separate just people who can push buttons. Don't get me wrong , I have heard some Ableton Dj's and rock too, but those have to work extra hard.
I heard a dj recently called Pakoo, I think from Berlin, and he thought he was so great but he was just too busy drinking beer and drunk, he was just pushing clips from Live and seemed it was just a party for him. I think if his laptop had died, and was to put on decks, it would have been a complete disaster. So in long run, anyone to pay for this , gotta be a little dumb and I find really no talent. So if you can rock it digitally or with wax, it is for the crowd to really judge.

No way. He had his headphones "half on" most of the time and he was very busy changing CD's. And he did actually do a lot of work mixing them together and such (probably got some cue points of course) but with effects, making sure they would come up on right places and pump it up. Especially when they filmed behind the desk you could see how busy his hands were on the 6 cdj's.
I don't think it was fake
He did an amazing 6 hour set, he got all 23 000 people up and dancing and being happy. No fights or anything. Just pure enjoyment (and i didn't even do drugs!). The lights and lasers where incredible!
Pyrotechnics, fireworks, laserbeams everywhere waving over the audience, blinking lights. Amazing
here is a video footage you should see at least a few seconds off:

The only thing was that it was loud to a sickness

But amazing. Even if you don't like Tiesto you would have enjoyed the show man

I could do a pretty damn amazing show too with the amount of speakers, lights, pyrotechnics, lasers, and video Tiesto gets. Shit, just put one of those siren lights from radio shack next to the decks and my performance increases greatly.
