latency growth!

heyhey.
I'm using ableton live 7, an alesis IO14, and realtek HD integrated. asio4all is a godsend to make this all work together but I receive latency growth after putting audio/midi through for so long.
If i end up heading into the options on asio4all and toggle hardware buffering on/off which ends up returning it to kernel buffers(which i have maxed at four) then the latency disappears.
It's beginning to get highly annoying when I have to do this every other minute when recording.
Any help?
Is there possibly a cheap-ish soundcard that would resolve the issue?
