Using live clips and MIDI controlled locators to control animations simultaneously while a set is playing (separate track for locators), using a hacked Live skin to create trails in those animations:

Pointless, yes, but it was fun. And it saved me from dropping money on Modul8 (modul8 IS awesome, tho).

Use Live MIDI to control just about anything MIDI-controllable.
