The gif shows an inconsistency in the layout of Tension.

That little nubby part noted by the red arrows is missing from the last two sections.

Hi arachnaut,

This view of Tension is split into three stacked regions, from top to bottom: Forces which act upon the string; the string itself; and the instrument body. The little nubby parts represent the main points of contact or energy transfer between the regions in a generalized string instrument. The excitator and damper make contact with the string; the string attaches to the body via its points of termination; and the pickup, while not in direct contact with the string, sources its signal from it.

One could argue for further visualization between the components of the body, but in practice, I didn't feel that such additions heightened the sense of relationship within the instrument.
