I am having a tough time with clip lengths today, I don't know why and it seems to be all of a sudden (i.e. it wasn't happening yesterday as i was doing the same process).

What I'm trying to do is take a long clip in the arrangement view, slice it up into shorter, loopable clips, and move those clips to the session view. Sounds simple, right? I thought so... It seems for some reason when a 1 bar (or 4-bar or whatever length) clip from my arrangement gets moved to the session, Live loses track of the correct length for the clip and sets the length back to the entire length of the original (unsliced) arrangement clip.

Any advice? I've never run into this trouble before. The only solution I've found is completely tedious - deselecting "loop" in the clip properties and then reselecting it for EVERY SINGLE CLIP (i'm dicing up 8-track mixdowns for a live show so I have hundreds)

---update: i figured it out. it was because I had all of my full-length clips in my arrangement view set to "loop". Turning them into non-looped clips fixed the problem completely.---
