MIDI notes delayed using M-Tron

When I drop M-tron into a midi track it starts off with a choral patch which works fine (no latency between key activation and sound). With near 100% consistancy, as soon as I select another patch, it plays the same choral patch. I click on the other patch again, and the new patch comes up but has a significant amount of latency - maybe 2-3 seconds. The really odd thing is that any other midi tracks I open up and drop other instruments into produce the same latency . No other instruments produce this latency - only happens after I've used M-Tron.
Using: Live 6.0.10, OSX 10.4.11.
Thanks!

Hi. I am experiencing very similar stuff also..I don't have M-tron...But it happens consistently, but whenever it feels like..Sometimes rite away and other times after 10 or so minutes..It is making Live7 a totally useless DAW at present..I am glad that someone else is experiencing this problem...Read my post called Mad Latency for my woes...I sure hope there is an answer..But so far it would seem not many are experiencing this issue... Update: I was playing Battery this morning (3.0.4) and it started doing the latency thing. However, it was in stand-alone mode, not through Live at all. I am using an old Casio CZ5000 as a controller, so to check this I switched to my Nord Lead and the rest of the time I did not have a problem. But, that was only ten minutes and I need to check longer period. Could be the interface too - I'm using a Presonus Firepod. Will e-mail them to see if they have a solution.

Final update: got an M Audio Oxygen and have no problems, MIDI or USB.
