copy protection violation has been identified

Using my fully legal Live 7.0.1, changing my input latency suddenly gives:
copy protection violation has been detected or something similiar.
Live then tries to secretly load a quick webpage back to ableton hq with the serial number embedded in it.

appears to do it all the time now for no reason. fun.
no hardware change, nothing.

If it's a perfectly legal copy, then there's no reason why you can't contact Ableton customer support directly about the problem.

Can't tell if you are trying to be helpful or skeptical.
In any case I HAVE contacted them (and they've replied).
As this is the Bugs and Problems forum I also posted here so that someone else having the problem in the future will know that perhaps this is a known issue in the current live 7.x version.

As long as they're on the case you should be fine.
