I thought for a few seconds that maybe multicore support was only intended
for 4+ cores, but I just tried turning multicore support back on for a project I've
been working on, and the reported CPU load dropped from 50% to 20+%...

My conclusion is: Multicore support needs fixing! Turning it off eliminates the
CPU jumps and audio glitches for me, but obviously, it increases the CPU load,
and this is quite limiting!

And yes - I've tried it with the 7.02 update. The CPU jumps are insane, even
with my Live template, which only contains an Operator and a Simpler.

Furthermore, please let us know what kind of computer with which Operating system do you use. Furthermore we need to know which audio interface with which buffer size do you use.

I haven't gotten around to getting a proper interface for my laptop, so at the
moment, I'm using the built in Realtek "High Definition Audio". The latency
on the included drivers was ridiculous, so I'm using ASIO4ALL at 352
samples. I'm running Vista Home Premium. The processor is an Intel Core
2 Duo 2 @ 2.2 gHz, and I have 2 GB of RAM

I will install the 7.02 update on my desktop this weekend, and see how that
turns out. My desktop is an Intel 2.66 gHz Q6700, 2 GB RAM, Windows XP
Pro and an M-Audio Audiophile Firewire interface. I had glitches on my
desktop as well, but I never tried turning off multicore support.

Okay - I've tried this on my desktop computer now, and I did not get the same
glitches. Weird stuff. Apparently there's something on my laptop that's causing
this, but I find it odd that turning the multicore support off made the glitches
go away.

I've identified a different problem, though, concerning tempo automation. I've
made a separate post here

I have alsow a bug with the support multicore : i have a shuttle quadcore Q6600 + RME multiface 2. + live 7.02

chance this bug could be resolve ?

i hope so because in monoprocessor my liveset is pretty out of limit..
