Assertion Failed?

The last few times I've tried to run live 7.0.2 the program works fine until all of a sudden I get the following error and everything freezes:
Assertion failed: p-event-?time stamp>=sample clock()ifile...\se_sdk\semodule_base.cpp,line 291
I have a Dell XPS 400, 2 gig RAM, Windows XP SP2, with a Fast Track Pro. Lately I've had all sorts of bizarre issues with glitches or starting up Live with it telling me that the audio engine is turned off. But the problems are multiplying in scope now. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
