Hard drive space is cheap. I use wav as much as possible.

yes, i was talking about converting my mp3's to WAV format for quality/faster loading speed, ect.

i looked through the manual, and saw nothing about load up speed between mp3 and WAV?

what cha think?

you should know that converting an mp3 to wav will not make it the sound quality any better...

i personally would see very little point in doing it, unless load speed is an issue for you.

Speed. Yeah. Since Live doesn't have to do the conversion for you.

Quality. Nay. Can't polish a turd, you know. Once downsampled/compressed there's no way to get those bits back.

mp3 to wav blows chunks. i don't use any conversion on any of my stuff, and prefer the sound of aac to mp3 for other people's shit. and don't ever convert mp3 to aac. god... smearo shit stank there...

never pulled an mp3 into live, have used aac's from my itunes library, sure the sound wasn't as good as a wave would have been, but the files didn't act any different than wavs do for me. took a sec to analyze, but no longer than a wav of comparable length. maybe a hard drive issue?
