Ableton Forum

Hello,
I am brand new to Ableton, I just bought it yesterday, but I am having some problems with the library location. In the Ableton Preferences window where you select the location to store the library, every place I try, it says the library cannot be sent there. How do I solve this problem? I can't install any of my software instruments!

is it the case that you just don't have enough free disk space? not sure.

Did you try this:



Preferences > File Folder > Browse

There create a new folder In Ableton\Live 7.0.2\

For exemple "LIB" so you have C:\...\Ableton\Live 7.0.2\LIB

Click OK.

Then on the folder choosing applet click on the option that says something like clear unfound folders... your created folder should now appear, and you will be able to install your instruments.
