Video out of sync with everything - including itself

I'm doing a score to picture, and all of a sudden the audio is out of sync with the picture. The audio of the movie is out of sync with itself even???
I'm using a quicktime photojpeg file (which is in sync with itself in quicktime player) and running 7.02.

Any thoughts?

Do you have a way to reduce the resolution/quality of your video?

Try encoding in another codec like DV, medium quality, and if the problem persists try to reduce the video size at half or quarter.

As this is for mixing purposes only, you don't really need full HD to do your job, do you?

Hope it helps a bit...

good advice, and just to add my thoughts:

when scoring for video, bear in mind that video codecs are unruly beasts.
especially compressed codecs which use up a considerable amount of CPU just to play the file back. which is why DV format is good, because its uncompressed.

the video codec issue is not that different to mp3 (compressed) vs wav / aiff (uncompressed)... reducing the resolution is also an easy way to reduce the load.

it would be good to know if the problem you describe is codec related rather than pdc related... if its pdc, then there might be a bug in live... (?)
