Hi there! 8)

I am a (proud) legal owner of a ableton live 7 Suite (live 6 boxed upgrade)

The following problem has occured:

When using the Beta testing version 702b5 my Internet was down and

and the version had expired. So I decided to wind back the intenal date

of my PC two days or so, which was a BAD idea.

I received the message: "A serious p"rogram error has occured. Live will shut down after closing this message box.

I get this for 7.0.2 as well. (7.0 7.0.1 work normaly)

I am quiet shure that the date-change srewed it up for me, but

how can I solve this realy?

Hope to hear from You, Dandy Dust (Vienna)

Damn.....short fused aren't we?

A beta expires on purpose, you where told about the expiry date even before you installed the beta. It is YOUR choice to install the beta and now you expect Ableton to reply to your enquiry during the weekend? Why didn't you keep 7.01 installed anyways....it's called a beta because it isn't finished yet, so it's always a good idea to keep the last stable version installed untill the next versions becomes available.

Also..this is a user forum. For real customer support mail ableton directly.

Have you tried re-downloading 7.0.2?

Seems odd that .0 and .1 would work, but not .2, if that was the case with the date change.

Perhaps try downloading and installing again.

Greetings Pitch Balck! 8)

i even tried that before!

One problem is that "removing" an installation in not so easy.

As You dont have to reenter the keycode, it shows that the install

is never removed fromthe registry and so on...

I have come to the point, that I wait for the response of the developers

customer - care service, because I used up all the "trikcs" offered in

this forum...

THNX anyways, Dandy

if the install isn't removed from the registry you could run regclean to delete unused registry keys.
That is if you're on XP (don't know if there's anything for Vista).
You can download it from the microsoft site.

Maybe it helps
