Restore Ableton Defaults (Mac)

How does one go about doing this? I have just got a new mac (having always used pc's in the past) and have installed the Korg Legacy collection demo. I tried to direct the Live plugins folder to the Legacy collection (to no avail, any ideas?), and have somehow changed the ableton library directorys too... I can't for the fucking life of me work out how to redirect them. It's driving me mental. I can't use any of the ableton native plugins at all. Where should they be directed? Is it possible to just reset everything to 'factory state'?
I'm starting to really hate macs.

inside your home directory, there will be a folder
Library -> Application Support -> Ableton
[edit] DON'T delete that, delete THIS
Library -> Preferences -> Ableton
delete that. it contains your user's preferences
reinstall live if you have to.

Thanks, but I don't seem to have a Library folder?
I get as far as Library -> Application Support -> Ableton
...But there's not Library inside.
Any ideas?
Thanks again!

Ah, nice one - thanks!
Can I also ask: where on a mac does one expect to find VST plugins (other than where they appear in the applications). in the past on a pc there was a VST plugins folder in the programs files that everything VST compatible would get a VST instance installed to. I can't see this on a mac. And how do I direct to it from Ableton? Cheers!

Users/library/audio/plugins
and
macintosh hd/library/audio/pugins
no idea why it features in both places.
honestly, probably easier and quicker just to explore your mac rather than posting a question here.

I'm struggling with the same thing. Moved everything from a G4 Powerbook running Mac OS X 10.3.9 to an iMac running 10.5.2 and clean instal downloading the Intel update. Now I can't get Live to recognise my VSTs, including the Korg Legacy Collection. When I work out how to do it I'll let you know.

/Library is system-wide. /Users/you/Library is just for user "you".

Are your VSTs UB? For example, if you're talking the original Legacy Edition, you'll need a Syncrosoft dongle and the UB/RTAS update (the UB update needs the dongle).

Yes they're the original Legacy Edition which I bought second hand. I had enough hassle getting the license transferred and now I need a dongle! Sheesh... Isn't there some sort of way round this?
I can't get Live to recognise my other VSTs as well. I've deleted my Live preferences in the iMac and moved them from my G4 via backup drive to the VST folder on the iMac, rescanned VSTs in Live but still no joy :-(
