I haven't really played around with Live 7 yet, but I started originally using trackers to write electronic music and miss the lack of a need for using a mouse when editing midi/note data on the screen. I used Live 6 fairly extensively last year and found myself kinda having to relearn navigating when composing stuff that wasn't going to be playing on the keyboard and found using the mouse to be time consuming. Is there some comprehensive navigation controls using the keyboard available for Live 7 in the midi editor or are there any plans to add some?
I'd like to be able to have a cursor on the piano roll that I can move around with the arrow keys and then maybe when pressing shift or control while moving left or right a certain quanta (that can be changed like when changing note length for the draw tool) you can create notes.
Thoughts??? I kinda miss the tracker interface and this would greatly improve my ability to whip out beats/melodies a lot more quickly if I don't have any controller around and I'm on my laptop.
