No Instrument Presets / Ethernet sync problems

Hello, new user with 2 problems!
Macbook Pro
Live 7.0.2
Mac OS X 10.4.11

have recently upgraded to the boxed Live 7 and i think i messed up the librarys as there is are no presets
I have Operator, sampler, electric, tension, Analog, essential instruments, drum machines unlocked but no sounds are present
In the 'Live Packs' section of preferences i have 'Basics' installed and 'live 7 sessions' installed.
When i upgraded from Live 5 to Live 6 i had the same problem with the operator presets.
2. We use 2 Mac book pros and sync live thru ethernet, this worked fine on Live 6 but now we have live 7.0.2 on both machines it doesnt work.
The CPU Load meeter goes to 1000% and the sync in indicator is on but solid green, not flashing as normal. One macbook pro is on tiger and one is on leopard, would this cause a problem?
Hope you can help, we have a gig on wednesday!
