I just bought Live 7 and got this wierd problem with FL Studio 7.0.2.... FL inserted (in Live) as a plugin couse the SPL (song position line) to start from -500 when set "offset" to 0 in FL (it just works wierd)

I read the info (under bugfixes) for Live 7.0.2b6 upgrade, where it stod "A certain VST plug-in would not behave properly for song loop back jumps or would even crash afterwards." ... I really hope they mean FL Studio!!

So... I tried to download the 7.0.2b6 uppgrade to see if it was fixed but the beta had expired (9th Feb)...

Have anyone heard/read a date when they release a new beta or the actual 7.0.2 upgrade (it's now 21 Feb...)

FL 7 betas are really going to be FL8. FL8 rc2 is now available to download at your "My FL Studio" page. Some people have said they can't access it though, so they are working on that.

Full release is expected in May but might be sooner. You can check the FL forums for more details.

Depending on how you are using it, it's often best to not use the first bar in FL when using it as a plugin. For some reason, the first beat doesn't trigger properly so if you start further in.. it should be better.

I'm aware of FL8rc2 but I'm still on FL7.0.2 (no beta). I tried FL7.0.4 but since it messed up some things for the non beta version, I felt no need to be a betatester, so I decided to wait for FL8.

I've used Live 6 and FL7.0.2 (as a plugin) in the past ... and it worked fine.


But since Live 7.0.1, FL7.0.2 don't work anymore - the problem is:

1. I insert FL as a plugin in Live

2. set the FL offset to 0

3. press play in Live

4. wait for the drumbeat to start (from FL)..... but it doesn't

5. look in FL and see that the time/bar meter is displaying (bar) 250 (and the SPL don't show (obviously becouse it's at bar 250))

6. dbl. click the stop btn in Live and it resets to bar 1

7. FL do not reset, it stays where I stoped the last time (bar 253)


I assume this is a problem in Live 7.0.1? and hoped the Live 7.0.2xx would fix this... and was wondering when the next version of Live can be downloaded (couldn't find any information on this).


Q - Do you not have this problem? (wich versions of the programs do you have?)

No, I'm not seeing that kind of problem. Have you tried the update to Live 7.0.2? I'm not sure what else to suggest but if I think of something I'll let you know.
