Multiple headphone monitor mixes?

Just started using albeton this week as well as pretty new to electronic/midi music in general. So far I love it, so easy to use.

But something I'm interested in is my and my roomate started making music together to try and start a group. But we live in an apartment. Since we both play electronic instruments it would be easy for us to practice with headphones. But we want to play live.

What I wanna do is seperate mixes for each of us. For gear I use an M-Audio fast track pro. It only has one headphone out but it has multiple other outputs (1/4" and RCA). But they aren't powered so I can't just plug headphones into them. So is my only choice a couple of headphone amps for each of us?

And is it even possible in Albeton to do seperate output mixes while playing live?

If your soundcard provides (at least) 2 stereo outputs (let's say "1/2" and "3/4") a simple thing you can do is:

* create the main mix using the level faders and the master track routed to output 1/2
* create a separated mix using the send knobs as levels on your audio and MIDI tracks and then route the corresponding return track to output 3/4 (in your return track, set the menu "Audio to" to "Ext. Out" and then choose "3/4" in the menu below)

That should work fine!

Note that when you adjust the send knob of a track in session view, Live shows you the corresponding value in dB at the bottom of the screen. If you want to set the send levels with accuracy, go to the arrange view and click on the send level value of a track (orange rectangle), now you can type the perfect value on your computer keyboard.

Hope this will help! :D
