I use Live to record guitar alot and I would like to know how to change tempo mid song. For example have the first half of the song be 100 bpm
and the second half be 150 bpm. I would like to do this in the arrangement view when I'm recording (i.e. record at 100bpm/ stop/ change tempo/ record at new tempo). I cant seem to change the tempo without changing the tempo of the whole song. Please Help!!

Thanks :D

sorry one part of your post says changing the song tempo, the other half says don't change the song tempo.

in arrange view the master track is at the bottom. in that track you can draw in tempo changes and set the tempo ranges. the tempo ranges affect how closely you can hit exact tempo values. IOW you might not be able to hit 100.00, but 100.1 , 101 etc. it's a bug users have complained about.

in session view name a scene 100bpm and the tempo will change to 100bpm when you launch that scene. check the manual for more tweaks you can do in a similar way, like time signature changes.

you can get it on the money its just a pain...

you can set limits then grab the point and drag it to the top

so if you need 128 bpm and your at 116 you can set the low limit to 116 and high limit to 128 then click on the line where you want the change make a point then make another point next to it grab that point and drag it to the top which is set at 128 and bam perfect.

be much easier if you could just type it in though

but where are the snap functions? like snap to marker, snap to grid, snap to loop bracket?.. .i cant seem to find that.... its a real pain zooming all the way in to make sure my automation markers are on the money.
