Novation Remote sl MIDI/Trigger

wondering if its possible to program the novation remote sl in live?
the is the scenario - you can move up and down and trigger live rows in the loop view
but could you via rubber pads between the top and bottom knobs on the left-hand side of the remote sl trigger individual clips in the row you selected - i understand you could probably have only 8 channels but that could still work pretty good..i would think this would involve some type of midi combination command program so that the row is trigger the rubber bottom automatically adjust to the selected row or when X button is here it shift the cc value up or down to the respective row and channel so if you wanted to select row 4 and channel 5 clip it would auto adjust..I hope this explains what i mean basically some sort of XY midi control..
