ABLETON WONT LET ME DLETE EMPTY CLIPS

I don't know why but for some reason ableton wont let me delete empty clip slots when I have got rid of an mp3,when I go up to edit the delete is not showing up and also I cant delete it from my keyboard.

you can't delete empty clip slots, you can delete scenes.
