Hi!

When i use live as rewire in cubase i have issues when i use all others than drums. When i use synth,keys, or other melodic instrument, it dosent play the sound properly. It sometimes even, NOT play any sound at all.
BUT when using drums it works perfect.

Anyone has a good idea why this is happening ?

I have just tried to test it with live 6.01, but it wont load any synths, because it has change ?? I guees its because of live 7...ever since installing live 7, there is alot of corrupt libraries in live 6.
Is that normal ?
So im lost?!

I too am having (perhaps) a similar issue.
I just posted about Logic 8 + Live 7 rewired together.
My issues seem to be centered around using Logic as MIDI sequencer, where more than 1 instrument playing drops out the audo and the system eventually crashes...

Not many seem to have this issue however.

Well if you are expericing the same issues, it must be Live that is the problem.
Today i found out that both cubase and live crashes, if i try to load more than one instrument in live..
So...
?

are you attempting to sequence MIDI FROM Cubase TO Live? Or are you having issues just playing them together at the same time?

Posted this morning, but I hoped for some sort of response by now.

I've also been emailing back and forth with support from Ableton too. He seemed rather surprised by it, despite me replicating this on two different Macs (one IBM the other Intel).

Im trying to use the the instuments from Live IN Cubase...let me try to explain in english ( which is'nt my language..danish is)

I open Cubase, turn on rewire, open Live. In Cubase i add a midi track, i point to Live as the output for this track.
There is absolutely no probs when i just use a drum kit in Live, if i try to use a synth,keys,pad,lead,,you name it, and then try to play in Cubase, the sound isnt played correctly. One out of 5 hits on the keyboard, even makes no sound at all ! So something is wrong...
Yesterday, i made a beat in Cubase with a kit in Live. Perfect.
I added another kit in Live, i hit the keyboard and biiiiiiiiiiiip....i tried to reset my audio driver in Cubase, the biiiip went away, but now both apps hang.
This is my experience with rewiring Live with Cubase..or is it called rewiring Cubase with Live?

And then there is my question bout the presest in Live 6.01. They are all gone after installing Live 7. Is that normal ?
I bought Live 6 months ago, so i am not a heavy user...yet.
But i have used Cubase for 7 years, and Logic for even longer, and i have never had any probs, with rewiring both apps with Reason.

yes, I think we are having the same problem!
Are you using a PC, or Mac?

Either no one bothers to route MIDI from the host Sequencer (Cubase/Logic) to playback Live instruments...
...Or we are the only idiots who can't get it to work!!

As for your other Live 6 vs 7 Library issue: I think that is normal. Live 7's Library is substantially different with nwer lessons and other things are updated from 6. Live 6 doesn't want to use 7's Library and prompts you to install the L6 library, no?

I can't even remember if 6 had this same rewire issue. Maybe create a new library for 6 seperate from 7's and I think you'll be able to use both?
