Are you using an IntelMac? If so, are the plugins UB?

Hi Pedro,

in my case (I am on an -intel- Mac) Ableton Live did not recognize VST 2.3 and older Plugs.
So I have to use the audio unit instead
and, as ewistrand has stated before, they have to be "Universal Binary".

For Windows I think the VSTs also have to be in VST 2.4 format.

Hope this will help a little.

Cheers p.e.

I have VST 2.0 and VST 2.2 and 2.3 plugs working fine in Live 6 and 7 on my PC laptop with win XP. VST 2.4 also works fine.

VST 3 should be established soon, Steinberg kept it back for Cubase 4 for a year but the SDK came out last month for 3rd party developers.

Yes, leadsquietman you´re right.

This restriction applies only to intel MACs.

unfortunately if you are using an intel MAC it seems there is no way to use "non VST 2.4" and "non Universal Binary" VST Plug-ins :(

- exept to run Live under Rosetta (PPC emulation) but this is not a lot of fun.
