Has anyone ever heard of using two mice or trackballs? I'm very much wanting another trackball on the other side of my keyboard for when I'm using knobs to my right. My current trackball is USB, if a plug another one in, do they live in harmony, of do they have a pokemon battle?

edit.....duh...i'm runnin xp sp3

on windows, they would both control the mouse, so it should work.
I don't know what happens if you turn one to the left and one to the right...
Torn up bloody cusor?

well about two years ago I been searching the web, and didn't find anyhting. Would be great, and should be possible, but apparently it doesn't exist. I found something about two-mouse-control-attempts on windows, in order to control 3D-CAD-applications better.

Hi. I am very curious. So you use xp? Is there still one cursor on your screen or if using a second or third mouse or do you have two or three seperate independant cursors on the same screen?

So whats the advantage of having two or more mice plugged in on the same system and screen?

I've used two track balls,,
I did it for ergonomic reasons as i prefer track balls to a regular mouse but had a huge work space that meant i was constantly reaching back for the track ball and dragging cables all over every where. I just got around this problem by having one TB next to the key board and the other over by my controller.

people in my school used to steal mice balls. so one day at the end of class, my teacher said " everyone turn your mice upside down so i can see their balls"
being in grade 11 at the time, we laughed pretty hard.

My thing was that i was beginning to get physical problems with my arms due to using a mouse, so i switched to trackball for a while, but keeping the normal mouse on for other users. (i even played counterstrike with the trackball!)
now after spending time working out a lot and using the trackball, the problems are completely gone and i now use a normal mouse again but continue working out and training the arms a lot.
Also for example if there is a place where you have to turn to, and there is not enough room for a normal mouse, a trackball can be there.
AND some sometimes your guests just try to use your trackball as an ordinary mouse wondering why the cursor doesn't move when they drag it over the table! and me being lazy so i'll just handle them the other mouse without having to bend down and change wires

I got it. You are still close enough to see your screen, maybe have to turn your head left or right, but you don't have to slide your chair or reach across to the single mouse or get up and take a step, lean over etc, go back, and repeat. Thanks.

+1
I'd have a mouse + trackball for different levels of control and another mouse on the other desk for convenience.
