What the freck he is using and doing to DJ with live in that way ?

http://www.m-audio.com/images/global/vi ... amm_V1.MOV
http://www.m-audio.com/images/global/ne ... MM_bt1.jpg

* He uses a (custom ?) midicontroller that is like a beaming device. But what does it do ? Does it trigger something in live, or what ? Does it control a plugin ? what plugin ?

* Now, if you look at the image above (and in the video as well), he is pulling another window from behind live to "pre-listen" or something. Does anybody know what program that might be?

* How is he working to get two track being mixed fluidly? Does he put them all behind eachother, does he work with the a/b slots? I'm still looking for the perfect way to mix whole tracks in Live (I'm a musician, not a DJ) like a DJ would do. I'm missing the part that allows me to mix beginning and tails of two different tracks just by moving to another scene. I cannot do it perfectly without either using the mouse to drag the right track next to the other playing track (is that what you guys do ?) or ... bleh, I'm completely lost in this :) If some DJ would write a decent tutorial on how he uses Live (I read the tutorials on this website, I'm still not convinced about the technique) ....

Right, I hope some of you might recognize any of the stuff BT does and explain it to me :) Cheers!

Therea thread over at osxaudio.com. Seems he has a custom pluggo plug. The beam seems to be a 'dimension beam' no longer made in a hobby box. Thats all I can gleen from that very weird thread.... :?

Well I can honestly hope that not every dj plans to use this plugin..as it would drive me nuts, if I were on the dancefloor.. hearing the dj doing this every 2 minutes..Sound like a Sqaure Pusher meets Aphex Twin rmx over and over...OWCH!

Actually, what I was referring to was the program he pulls from behind Live which has waveforms displayed. Seems like a kind of DJ program or wave editor ? Makes me wonder if he has something running through rewire or so ...

search these forums, this topic has been covered ad nauseum. The box is about $400, its called eyris:

there are many threads on this here. not to be a tool, but do you really think that demo video is that cool--I appreciate his production skillz (but don't really dig the music overall), but I though this demo was pretty weak, especially in terms of promoting ableton--he barely scratches the surface of live, and instead is busy stroking his gadget, special plug, and tipped out hair...

I think the app you're talking about for 'previewing audio' is actually his custom plugin sitting on top of Live.

yep, that picture definitely shows a (custom made) pluggo plugin, [smartass] probably based on stutter~ [/smartass]

as i watched the video without sound (trying to slow down my brainfuntions after late gigging & checking for 4b), i wonder what big effect that plugin could have on the performance. is there a clear audio component where you would say 'yes, that is stutter!'?

and by the way, people that critisize the value of this video clip, just watch this clip again with sound turned off; i would like to give this girl photographer an oscar (if i had one) for her beautiful performance!

FOCUS ON THE IMPORTANT THINGS!
plug-ins are not EVERYTHING!
4B is not EVERYTHING!
..[want it anyway:!:]
greetings, and have a nice night,
