Suggestions for reducing the time for ableton midi to react when going through Reason?

Pentium 4 3 Ghz
4 gig RAM
Lexicon Omega
Reason 3.0
Ableton 7
Windows XP

I run asio4all. Better going through the Lexicon drivers? When I do, I get pops and noise.
