JUSTICE LIVE

Saw Justice Tuesday Night. LOUD AND DISTORTED.

Really good live set, but they seemed to be short on material. They played all their own stuff. The fake stacks were actually lit from within and were synched to the lightshow. They really used their minimal stage setup to good effect. I really wish I could have seen the Lemurs in action... :)

I would love to know what they use to get those filthy distorted basslines. Really incredible. Made me psyched on electronic again.

Does anyone know what they produce with?

Peace.

Work is pissing me off, so…….

Since when is 2 dudes on a stage surrounded by a mountain of Marshall cabs, spaghetti wire, and a giant glowing cross considered minimal? I remember seeing Front 242 in the late 90's and it was one dude running around the stage and another with just 2 keyboards on a stand with a small rack next to him and that was the entire setup. And that was in an arena.

Neb, the show was only 20 bucks and it did not sell out. The venue used to be Gilley's, so it's basically one big room with a stage. The sound is really good for a big room and its a good view from almost every angle. The sound was MONSTEROUS. It really makes me want to get back to making more music.

(BTW, I went with Obama for the Primary AND the Caucus before the show :) )

I mentioned it was minimal in that they had their stage kit (a bunch of hollow Marshal Stacks with lights inside synched to the music, a few flashing LEDs on the back of the "amps" and a giant cross, but the light show was really simple. I saw The Chem Bros and half of their show was the lights. Justice's set seemed a lot more minimal. What they had was pretty simple and it worked well.

I did a serach for Justice Live and All I found was another long thread about "what makes a show live"...

I strayed off Justice fairly quickly. I just want to know what they use to get those bass tones.

Maybe there is something about it in the Live Manual.

I had an issue of Remix magazine talking about what they used for their Cross album. I'll see if i still have it around.
