localize files one by one only? (moving to anothe computer?)

i moved a session with all the files to another computer.
when i open the session on the new computer i have to localize each file one by one even though the´re all in the same folder.
is this what it is like, or am i missing something.
(both machines are mac´s w/ OS 10.3.4)
sorry for posting this in two forums, but it´s kind of urgent.
i have a show tonight and want to rework the stuff in the studio, it took me like half an hour to locate all the files and i might have not enough time to do it again this evening.
isn´t live supposed to search a directory for more missing samples?
i mean i locate the first file and then live should automatically look in that same directory for more missing samples and so on?
just like softsamplers do?
