beats or complex

after getting the hang of warping a track, my next question is, what what mode shall i use complex or beats as i hear that complex uses aoy of cpu
There's no "one answer" to this question. The warp mode that sounds the best is the one that ... sounds the best. You need to experiment and it will depend on your sample.
Beats mode usually sounds the best on rhythmic samples and uses less CPU. I've noticed that Complex mode sounds better when I record things like pads on my synth. In addition to the CPU hit, Complex mode, even when unwarped, is a non-neutral operation. (See Live 7 manual p.433)
