Clip grid for the padKONTROL

Here’s my attempt at emulating the Monodeck II’s clip grid using the pK. The setup is built for 6 “songs”, but only 2 are set up currently.

A “song” is 8 tracks x 4 scenes. On the pK, you have 2 grids per song with each grid controlling 4 tracks. Each vertical row of pads represents 1 track. After initializing the pad lights, if a clip slot has a clip loaded, the pad will be lit. If no clip is loaded, the pad will be dark. If a clip is playing, the pad will blink.

Other features:
  • Visual metronome
  • 4 scene launch buttons per song
  • 3 assignable buttons with feedback
  • Assignable encoder with feedback
  • Assignable set of scrolling +/- buttons with feedback
  • Assignable X/Y pad with on/off switch
  • 2 assignable knobs
Aside from the pK and Live, you also need MIDI Yoke. After installing, check the manual for info on how to set up Live. You can d/l it here, PC only unfortunately.

Let me know what you think.

This is excellent, the only thing that would keep me from using this in a live setup would be the six song limit. Are there any workarounds or plans to increase this?
Thanks

Thanks for checking it out.

I uploaded a brief vid that shows the features. Here’s the manual too.

As far as the 6 song limit, it should be possible to increate that. Would 12 work for you?

Thanks. Has anyone installed and tried this out yet? Because I'm not a live performer, I’m interested to see what people think about the setup before spending too much time programming the other songs. Any and all feedback is appreciated.
