There's no such thing as a short flight any more. Air travel has become the club that's so crowded that no one goes there.partition_function wrote:LA is a short flight away....

The difference between theory and practice is that in theory, there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice, there is.

I wish - My friends and I are boycotting Rich's for being held at the door for over an hour, even with VIP access because of an unfavorable male/female ratio.dphouse84 wrote:houston has a great scene too
when wax trax was around houston was considered their sister city.
good after-hours scene
No other "straight" techno spots here to speak of. Not hating, just gay clubs are not my scene. And forget about trying to come with an original set or even a mashup, if you don't spin or CD, you aren't shit.
Havent been to Rich's, but it seems to be more of a meat market than a place for music.ironwill2000 wrote:

I've lived all over and IMHO the best clubs, with the best underground music, (and party favors) usually tend to have gay ownerships. They are usually more relaxed venues with more down to earth people. The best spots I found were in the Montrose, Richmond and Westheimer areas. Yes they might have some people of other sexual preferences, but it's not like you had to partake in their lifestyle. It's all about the music and having a good time.
Stuff I actually use.
sound card, speakers, mic, MBP, Mighty Mouse, Ableton, Reason, iPad, iPhone,Touchable, Rebirth, & other apps.
