Hello! SORRY FO THE ENGLISH IM AN ITALIAN PASTASCIUTTA BAD SPEAKER!! im trying to sincronize my machinedrum in live,but there is somethink that i cant resolved.i sutup my drum machine to receive midi clock timing from ableton,but when i try to make it play if i dont pusch the play botton at the perfect time it start a little before or after...of course because i cant have a good sensibility in my finghers !! so there is some thinks that i can do to make it start at the same time with every one clip in live??? some times the sincronization it lost why???!! i read the manual and the capter of the external sinc 10 times but i think its a little poor of informations!!!
for example whic functions solve the 'ext' button??when i switch it on mine ableton clips doesnt play!!! mmmmhhh there is no one whit a big patience that can explaine me something more the manual!!!!

this is known behaviour in Live. It may start the transport on the MD early or late, but it should catch up by the second bar. So dont record your loop until the second bar.

The other problem is in "midi sync delay". do a search on the forum for this as there is a lot of info on how to get your device synced up.

The EXT button lets you slave Lives transport to the transport of an external device.

use your machinedrum as a MIDI master clock instead of slave, it's more solid then your computer, always

absolutely +1 to running the MD as master.

+2 to always using live as midi slave

I use my MD slaved to live. There is a good reason not to do it the other way - listen to what happens to tghe tempo clock if the MD is the master and you sweep you finger over the 16 track buttons on it - major jitter which tends to upset soem hardware synths - v-synth and virus ti in particular.

Two way to get it to sync - enable external control in (in the MD sync settings), or goto its midi settings and set a a couple of notes to act as start stop triggers.

you generall have to advance the clock output and also the track that sends the start/stop notes.

Either way - it works fine for me.

yeah you just have to enable to transport controls in the MD. I had to do the same for the monomachine, the 2 pieces of gear are identical under this aspect.

Then, as you see someone sais that live have to be the master and someone the opposite... just see what works best for you.

I've never had better luck using the MD as the master, it's alway way tighter the other way around here.

ho tanks evrybody for the advices i resolved a lot of thinks!!! the only problem is that the first bar doesnt sincronize with the other clip...
so iv got enother question..i set up as well in my project a beat repeter as an a loop maker,but when the machine is sincronize and the ext botton is sweched off the beat repeater works bad !!! u no why?

sorry...when the ext button is on cause this problem in the bt.
