Fruity Loops has something like that. But its not free of course. Otherwise do Macs still have that build in?

it's the free standalone version of the robot talker program thats in fruity loops

you'll need something like audacity to record the robot speech as there is no audio export on it

Text Edit in mac, yo.

: )

Go to 'system preferences ' , 'speech' to change voices, speeds, etc.

There's a narrator function thingy in windows that will read typed text. Simple but free :)

Microsoft Sam is rubbish.

I've found the Mac ones to be quite good. The AT&T ones are bit but glitchy and stereotypical.

This reminds me of my childhood. We used to use TextoLE to prank call people with preset conversations and sentences.....these days I would impliment the sentences into clips and trigger these bad boys in live....oh the good ol' days. 8)

If you're using a Mac I highly recommend this:

I used the VX-323 on a song that called for a robotic voice and it was just perfect. :) Not a plugin....just record to hard disk and import!
