LIVE as REWIRE Master

I'm using Digidesign 002 rack with protools and have Ableton LIVE 3.0 full version on a G4 platform OS X.
While I can rewire the LIVE to Protools so that I can record tracks in protools along with the LIVE sequencing I've done, I am unable to get LIVE to act as the master with protools/digidesign as the slave.
Specifically, I have multiple sample sequencing tracks on LIVE, and I want to record (via digidesign/protools) real time live playing as added tracks in the LIVE sequencing view.
Any suggestions?
I am able to record real time midi playing on a midi keyboard which goes through the digidesign 002 rack, so I know that there's some communication going on- Just can't get those bass, vocal, etc tracks in there.
Any suggestions, experience?
Thank you in advance

you can't get PT's to be a rewire slave.

but you can record your sequences in live, the bounce to disk, and put em in protools... or just use PT's as the rewire master.

Hmmmmmm-
So then how can I record audio tracks into the LIVE platform?
I've several sequenced sample tracks, and now I want to add vocals as one of the LIVE tracks.
It says that this can be done in the handbook(I believe on page 48?),
but the only input source I can pull up is "LIVE In", and my out put from the digi 002 isn't showing up.

PS I am familiar with the PT as master setup, and I can get that to work, but that doesn't give me the flexibility that I want-
PPS- Thanx for your reply- How's it down under?

all good here in Melbourne, a sunny winter afternoon.

1. what os are you on? i'm on osx, and you need the core audio drivers installed for that to work.... don't know much about PC and Digidesign.

2. Have you changed the audio settings in the preferences to make your 002 the input/output device?

3. Have you armed the track for recoding/selected the monitor on button so you can hear what's coming through?

good luck chris

1. OS X
2. I have Core audio, and the input out put device I believe is set to digi 002, I believe to port one, port two, or somthing to that effect.
3. Yes, I have armed the track.
I have my midi keyboard (RS-70) going thru the 002 rack, and I can get that to registre on the input meter, but not the other inputs (vocals, bass, etc.) Again, these inputs all work fine when using PT interface...
