A couple requests regarding effects

1. The option to load an effect in the "off" state.
Say during a performance I have a scene playing and I want to load an effect onto a specific track within a scene, it would be nice to have the ability to load the effect in the "off" state being that I may want the track affected at a certain point in the song that is just approaching.

2. Someone mentioned this a while back, the ability to load effects onto a scene. At the time i responded with utilizing return tracks but now i can see, during a live performance, it is better workflow, especially when it comes to spontaneity, to have the ability to affect tracks on a per scene basis.

In 6.0.10, when I drag an effect and hold alt, the effect is off when inserted. Maybe it's a bug???

The same in 7 (on Mac it's the command key).

If you don't like dragging, then group the effect into a Rack, switch the effect off, and save the Rack in that state.

somehow though, I have the 7.01 demo on my machine installed along with 6.0.10 (full version) and the ALT dragging doesn't work for me in version 7. (windows)

Try the other keys. Usually 'Command' on Mac is 'Ctrl' on PC.

I did. Tried combinations too of shift alt or ctrl-alt, ect.

What's odd is that it works perfectly in 6.0.10.

you can also save defaults for all devices now,

which could include them being off...

just do what you want to do to a device, and right click on it's header -> save as default preset

then whenever you drag or doubleclick that device in the browser, you'll get that default.

Yes quite true.

Are you on windows and using live 7? If so does alt-dragging trick work for you?

In the interest of spontaneity, i prefer a key shortcut because for me to go through each and every single one of my plugs and save them with default settings is way too time consuming.

I am on 5.2 but i DLd the 7.02 demo and so far no key strokes load the effect off when dragging to a track.
