Mod wheel support in Operator...

Yes, I know this modulation wheel thing is a totally obscure feature rarely found on controller keyboards, but still, it would be nice to be able to use it in Operator. The code is already there - Sampler has a perfectly adequate implementation (for aftertouch (not polyphonic, though, but still) and foot controller, as well), so why, WHY, can't we have it in Operator as well? I mean, it's been a synthesizer standard feature for like 40 years.

This applies to the AAS synths too, even if Analog at least has rudimentary mod wheel support (ie hard wired to vibrato).

Really hurts playability. I suspect nobody at Ableton HQ actually PLAYS keyboard.

+ 1 here. I never used to play keyboards but have become "resident strange noise maker" in a band, so I actually have to make noises in realtime. I've discovered the unadulterated joy of the combination of aftertouch, pitch and mod wheels, so their not all being assignable in the Operator feels like a real omission.

Bleh. I guess the ableton staff aren't the only ones who don't play the keyboard... Grumble grumble.

I think operator would need a major revamp, and this is just one part of it.

Am I missing something here or what? I just assigned the modwheel to the LFO mod via midi map editing and it works.

For that single instance of Operator, yes. Unfortunately, it disables the mod wheel for any other synth. Also, in general, You probably want the mod wheel to affect the currently selected track.

This is a no brainer right here. Mod wheel support should be expected with any softsynth whose actual designed purpose is to create/control sounds.

+1. Same request for Analog.
