Hi all,

whenever I load an MP3 in to an audio track in Ableton and play it, it plays double speed, no matter what the tempo is.. is there something glaringly obvious I ned to change?

check that your BPM is set to a sane setting

turn off warp

OR

click on a clip to open clip view
there's a box called "original bpm"
make sure it's at a sane setting
below that are the *2 and divide by 2 buttons, those change the bpm, or just type it in yourself.

Thanks mate.. turning off warp on the clip detail works.. now if I load another track I get the same speeding up.. is there an option to turn warp off globally? should it speed up with warp enabled? is this a candidate for a Live reinstall?

no need to reinstall Live, the issue is completely with the user, you're just starting out, no big deal.

I think in options-preferences- there's an option to set warp as on or off by default. I don't have Live in front of me.
