Multicore-Rewire Support is grayed out

Hi.
I am running a Vaio Laptop with Live 7.0.2 and Reason 4.0.1 installed.
My Problem is that the Button in Lives Preferences is grayed out, i still can switch on and off but it seems to be not active. Has any one the same problem ? Searching in the forum wasnt helpfull ...

Yep, it's grayed out when used with Reason. Reason isn't multicore friendly...

i checked now, since reason 3, there should be multicore usage...
didn noticed any other user this problem ?

Sorry, but you're wrong. 3.0.4 and up brought compatibility with Athlon64 processors- it has nothing to do with multicore
per se...
An easy test- open up Reason in standalone, load one of the demo songs and check Task Manager. You'll find all of Reason's processing's done on one core...

I meant it could be possible that the button is greyed out when you don't have Reason open as a Rewire client. Seems as if this idea was wrong.
While we're talking about multicore support - Ableton Live itself HAS multicore support. I have it enabled, but as far as I have recognized, Live is only one process in the task manager and seems to start crackling at 50% CPU usage (which indicates only one core at 100%) already - is it possible that Live currently uses only one of my cores then?

id like to test what you ve said...but how can i see the core or nonduocore usage in the taskmanager ?

Well, that was just a guess, as it seems to be that way in my case. I'll tell you how it is here: I have one process (Live.bin or alike) in the task manager, bumping at 50% on hi load. As well as Ableton shows me a processor usage of 50% when it begins crackeling. So I assume that Live is only using one of my two processors, as there is also only one live.bin in the task manager.

Go to the performance tab. The graphs will show the CPU usage on each core.

ok i did that...every application is used by both processors, also reason!!...
when reason would be nonduocore there should be only one side active...right ?

Not necessarily. Anything else that was running would be on the other core. If Reason was multiprocessor friendly, you'd have an even split between the cores- which definitely isn't the case with my system.
