Dude you got a good feel and some good ideas, but the productions and execution could be tightened up quite a bit - shorten some ideas and make sure that everything keeps hitting -
- A lot of this music is about the "sound" and your tonal quality just isn't there - It's not just your problem - I feel all DJ sets that are produced in Live have to contend with the sound of the time stretching making the tracks sounds more "soft" with less transient details - Just be aware of this and try to buff things a bit when mastering to bring the whole mix back together and give it a sound (multi-band compressor with a light squeeze for ex) -
- Use the "repitch" algorithmn whenever possible as it sounds the most sonically neutral - if not try the "beats" setting using 1/8 or 1/4 quantization instead of 1/16 (this will get rid of alot of the amplitude "waves") -
- Some of you transitions were also way to abrupt - try sliding over them with some delays or verb to get more vibe in your mix
Great musical choice's but better mixes are still out there - keep trying new things, you are on your way to finding them.....
Cheers
