Hi there! 8)

At the moment I am running a Focusrite Saffire LE which has become
too light for 3 reasons:

It has reduced function when run at 24bit 96khz.
Im lacking plug-ins.
It once in a while gets stuck and I have to switch it off&on!

That´s why I am looking for a new Firewire Audio-Interface with more plugin-ports. My checklist has 4 products on it for the moment:

1) Focusrite Pro 26 (about 645 Euro)
2) Motu Traveller (about 725 Euro)
3) Motu 828-MK-III (about 733 Euro)
4) Presonus Firestudio (about 698 Euro)

:?: Which one should I buy and why? :?:

Thnx for Your suggestions and thoughts on this issue!!!

consider RME fireface 400! great converters, one of the best out there, features, quality of sound, quality built and a bit expensive €850 at least...
Fireface 800 would be even better, but it's €1250 with more plug ins ports as you said....
I would spend a bit more and get the best!!!!

check them...RME FIREFACE 400/800
Anyway, heard great things about motu, not so great about presonus... nothing about focusrite... so, sorry, not a big help from me, ah

I finally got me the m-auidio2626 and I am quiet happy with it.

The software could be more selfexplaining...

The only tough part was that it needs a TexasInstruments compatibel

firewire-port. I did not know before, that firewire isn`t firewire!

But after I got me one (which cost me 10 days) the card workes fine.

Greetings, Dandy

im not a Maudio fan at all but i should say that they made wonders on the profire series!!!

The convs are excellent and the preamps are just ok for just a good result (not excellent)

Best value imo
