Can I tie the Left Loop Brace to the Start Marker, so that when I move one of them the other one moves with it?

hold shift and move the start marker ... and the end marker will move too.
and vice versa
very useful in arrangement view for editing up a storm

what I do
assign a key command or a midi command to the start marker (set) button
I use the letter S, S for start.
that way all you have to do is hit S, S for start. The start locater will update to to the current location of the play marker - if your quantize is on the marker will snap to the closest location
you can do some cool repeats S ENTER S ENTER cntrl 8 S ENTER ENTER ENTER
Enter being the ENTER key on you computer's keyboard
* oh wait, never mind
I'm listening to Steve Aoki and was distracted and didn't read your posts in detail. We're thinking of bringing him to Seattle (I guess he's from up here) But I heard he made an ass of himself at War Room last time he was up here so...he's CD is banging though...super good

wtf it was working, now it doesn't?
I move the left loop brace to the start marker, then shift+click on the left loop brace or the start marker, and they don't move together
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

you move the loop braces together by dragging on the bar between the loop braces.
you move the start/end markers together by shift-dragging one of them

ok, this is a similar topic to a question I'm not having much answers to in a post I made, so...
anyone know, is there a shortcut to move the start and end sequence loop markers to the start and end of a clip (unquantized) .. ??
I want to use live for sample editing, as in, exporting single samples, non tempo based, so the lengths are generally not in bars and beats... its a pain to have to manually position the markers for each export...
???

do you mean the markers in arrangement?
in which case - select the clip and then use ctrl&L
that sets the markers which are used for exporting the song wave

Angstrom... yes.
yes. yes. yes.
I just knew the best audio software solution would have to have some easy
way of doing that. And it does. Beautiful.
Thanks man.

I have the same issue, when I grab "Loop Brace" and drag it, the whole loop brace moves but the "Start Marker" and "End Marker" stay put. It seems like the loop brace and the start/end markers are not connected at all.

Shift? When I hold shift and try to click the start marker, it just plays the audio. Holding down the shift key turns the cursor into the little speaker icon and you can no longer select the start or end markers, it will just play the clip when you click. I'm using Live 9, and the clip is in arrangement view.
For me the solution was to enable Loop mode. Then, the loop brace and the start/end markers are all connected which makes sense.
